FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The GEODESY is based on Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. The GPS engine contained in the GEODESY unit tracks satellite signals and is activated, by design, to identify precisely where on earth the GEODESY is.  The GEODESY includes a built-in database determined and compiled with all the various fixed Speed Detection Devices often located at accident black spots.

Antenna Accesory for the Geodesy - It allows you to stealth install the Geodesy but allows other hand-held GPS devices to function when they can not see the sky. GPS signals are very low powered, as little as two centimetres of water will stop a GPS signal, this very neat bit of kit allows the Geodesy to be positioned anywhere in the vehicle without the worry of a loss in the signal. This allows you to stealth install the Geodesy or overcome the problems that some vehicles present when it comes to getting a signal.

This kit will also allows other hand-held GPS devices to work, such as using a hand-held GPS unit below deck on a boat. In the box you get a magnetic mount antenna and mounting plate for permanent fixing. The complete antenna unit is one piece and powered, consisting of a small square antenna, 2" x 2" x 1" high approx. It mounts almost anywhere, with 10 ft of cable leading to a splitter, one part of the splitter then goes to a cigarette lighter adapter on 3 ft of cable and the other part of the splitter goes to a stick antenna again on 3 ft of cable. It needs a 12v power supply to work, the cigarette lighter adapter has no electronics in it so you could cut it off and hard wire it if needed.  

Detection and warning of an approaching location are provided where it has been predetermined that excessive speeds should be avoided and where roadside Speed Detection Devices are installed.  The warning signal is converted and displayed by a series of sounds and lights illuminated on a display designed to attract the users attention regardless of the ambient light conditions. These sounds and lights are user defined and therefore change characteristics on request.  By these very specifications the GEODESY is able to locate its geographical position and can then calculate the distance to the nearest fixed Speed Detection Device.

GEODESY  is not a radar detector and will use a designer GPS engine and highly developed satellite technology to warn you in advance of a fixed speed camera, including the new digital cameras, offering a no compromise full-feature Global Positioning System (GPS) engine that uses 12 parallel channels each multiplexed 256 ways, displaying to the motorist accurate and reliable range information.

It is a clear market leader designed specifically for the task at hand with performance reliability designed to work first time, every time, and without false alarms. 

The sophisticated system is so precise that the GEODESY warning system, adjustable between 15 yards and 15 miles, in advance of an accident black spot, can be adjusted and downloaded to suit the individual driver who is cautioned by means of an audio alarm and/or by a series of display lights.  Features included are easily adjustable display brightness, which automatically reduces at night, and the sound volume.  

The GEODESY  boasts thousands of verified and confirmed sites and can store up to 16 000 speed camera locations.  Unlike hand held and budget GPS devices which are not designed to continually search an entire database in real time, the GEODESY  uses advanced algorithms and techniques to be able to search 16 000 speed camera locations in under a second! 

GEODESY  is simple to use, versatile and portable between motorcycle and motorcar, weatherproof, and shock and vibration resistant.  Installation and connection of GEODESY  is a straightforward and easy task.  Each unit is shipped with a Modem Interface and two Power Clips (one with a cigarette lighter connector for adaptation to a motor vehicle and the other a snap connector for direct wiring to a motorcycle or motor vehicle) and will be electronically identifiable for guarantee and security.
